Thargomindah Post Office/Craft
There has been a post office at Thargomindah continuously since 1870, despite being levelled to the ground by a great storm in 1877 and the interior being burnt out in 1952, (when the post office was set up temporarily under a date palm tree). The present Post Office building is of original Thargomindah made brick and is one of only four (4) such buildings still intact in the town today.

Services
The exterior may be of Heritage class but the interior is full of all the modern equipment needed to provide up to date banking services, bill paying facilities, facsimile services and postal needs. The local air service carrier, MacAir , also operates from this premise. For bookings please call 07 4655 3035.

Not only are all your modern communication needs catered for but the old telephone exchange section houses an extensive range of locally made crafts from local products such as honey products and by - products and genuine heritage timber frames and goods (Bulloo Built). These can be browsed over at anytime of the year.
