Welcome to the Bulloo IT Muster These are computer workshops aimed specifically at the typical person who lives and works in remote communities in Outback Australia. Such a person can turn a hand to many different jobs. Not afraid of hard work, self managed learners and always willing to lend a hand to others. People who live in remote communities are used to being self-sufficient. They function pretty well as self managed learners and are not generally phased by new technology - they tend to figure out how to use the damn thing but will acknowledge that there is plenty more they could know. As computers
have become part of many outback workplaces, people who would not consider
themselves as "academics" have taught themselves new skills
to handle the operation and technical support for these often pedantic
marvels of the electronic age. In doing so they have become "client
support" persons for their workmates, families and friends. Rural people have always earned money by working "off farm" to carry their enterprise through the lean times. This first level course in Client Support will give you the opportunity to fast track your skills & knowledge development and obtain a formal qualification in Client Support thus providing a pathway to employment in IT. |
